Tonight we bought a Select Comfort sleep number bed that we found on Craig's List (my addiction for the past few months) for a steal. We'd wanted one for awhile and Mike has been complaining that our mattress hurts his back every night, so it seemed a good time to get it.
Here is the problem, though...we got it home all set to pick our individual number (I think that I am a 30 and Mike is a 60) and discovered that it has just one air chamber for the both of us. Not one on each side of the bed. This means that we have to agree on a number/setting for the whole bed.
It kind of defeats the purpose of a sleep number bed, doesn't it?
That's jacked up.
No wonder it was such a bargain.

that's stinky! you could always re-craig list it and get the $$ back that you all paid for it.
We do like it after all. Perhaps even better than if there were two different settings (now we can still cuddle in the middle without it being the weird and maybe uncomfortable space between the two sides). We agreed on 40 and both feel pretty good in the morning. Yet I am not sleeping very well lately, hmm...
We almost bought one of those beds last year, but of course the one Eric liked was like $3k! Needless to say, we bought something else. Glad you guys found a number that suits you both...they are great beds. Now if you could only get both kids to sleep through the night regularly...humm.
